Escape Tsunami Tips - Staying Ahead of the Wave Every Time

The wave in Escape Tsunami is relentless, but it follows predictable acceleration patterns. Understanding those patterns is the first step to consistently longer runs.

Stay in the center lane as your default position. It gives you the most options when obstacles appear on either side. Committing to a side lane early limits your escape routes and forces more dramatic lane changes that cost precious milliseconds.

Save speed boosts for uphill sections. The wave gains ground when your character slows on inclines, and a well-timed boost during a climb can create enough distance to coast through the next flat section without pressure.

Learn the obstacle sequences in Escape Tsunami. Each terrain type has a set of patterns that repeat in a semi-random order. After a few runs, you will start recognizing formations and reacting before they fully appear on screen. That anticipation is worth more than raw reflex speed.

Shields are most valuable in dense obstacle sections where a single mistake would end your run. Do not waste them on open stretches where the risk of collision is low. Hold the shield until you see a cluster of obstacles that looks difficult to navigate cleanly.

When the wave gets dangerously close, focus entirely on forward movement. Skip collectibles, ignore side paths, and take the straightest route available. No bonus is worth the time cost if it lets the wave catch you. Survival first, score optimization second.
